Listen to Justin Bieber on iHeartRadio

Justin Bieber has turned himself in to Toronto police.

The singer turned himself in to local authorities in his home country after police there summoned Bieber to answer questions about an assault investigation.

Details about the case are few but it is said to revolve around Bieber, his bodyguards and a limo driver.  The alleged incident took place December 29th while Bieber was in Toronto to attend a hockey game.

TMZ reports that he will be charged with criminal assault.

The singer's interaction with Toronto police comes less than a week after his arrest in South Florida for a DUI charge related to an alleged drag racing incident.

Swarms of fans gathered outside of the Toronto police station Wednesday to catch a glimpse of the pop star.
