Miranda Lambert Shares New Song 'In His Arms' With Jack Ingram, Jon Randall

Miranda Lambert has released a new song with Texas singer-songwriters, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.

On Friday (March 5), the country stars, who are gearing up for the forthcoming release of their collaborative album, The Marfa Tapes, released their first single, titled “In His Arms.”

In addition to putting out the record, Lambert, Randall, and Ingram also shared a simplistic music video to accompany the song’s release, which sees all three musicians performing the tune outdoors against the panorama and natural sounds of Marfa’s dreamy, West Texas landscape.

Over the song’s honey-sweet acoustic guitar production, the trio croon in harmony: “Is he praying for rain out in West Texas? / Is he lost in the Marfa lights? / Is he out there looking for me / Wishing I was in his arms tonight.”

“In His Arms” serves as the group’s first single to come off their new collaborative project, due out on May 7.

The 15-track album, which includes songs like “I Don’t Like It,” “Anchor,” “Two Step Down to Texas” as well as Lambert's hit “Tin Man,” was written over a five-day period in the fall of 2020.

"I'll never forget pulling into Marfa that first night at 4 a.m. The stars were like nothing I'd ever seen before, just this endless blanket hanging so low you could reach up and touch them,” the songbird said of the songwriting process for The Marfa Tapes in a statement. “I immediately understood why this place was so special.”
