Good news for BTS fans: The K-pop group is hosting a livestream concert next month.

BTS announced the online event in a YouTube video. “Were excited to bring you the long-awaited news — we’ll be holding 'BTS Permission to Dance On Stage!'” BTS members exclaimed. “We’re going to meet ARMY through online streaming… Our stage is where you are. Please enjoy the concert with us that day!” The online streaming event is scheduled for October 24. It's scheduled to begin streaming at 6:30 p.m. KST.

Further details were not immediately available as of publication time on Wednesday morning (September 15).

The online event comes after the K-pop group officially opted to scratch their “Map of the Soul” World Tour that was originally slated to start in April of 2020. Their label credited “changing circumstances beyond our control,” for the decision to cancel the tour. The statement continued, “...it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned. Therefore we must announce the cancellation of the BTS 'Map of The Soul Tour.'"

BTS debuted “Permission to Dance” — co-written by “Bad Habits” singer Ed Sheeran— earlier this summer, along with a corresponding music video that transforms a laundromat into a club. The group also dropped an R&B remix of the new song, plus a remix of “Butter” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
