Britney Spears is no longer on Instagram.

After a few active days on the social media platform, the pop titan, 39, who is entrapped in a legal war against her father, Jamie Spears, over her 13-year conservatorship, was no longer searchable as of Tuesday (September 15). This comes days after announcing her engagement to longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari, and backing the #FreeBritney movement once again for their continuous support to expose the ways in which she has been personally and professionally manipulated by her team and family.

A source close to Spears told Page Six revealed that the star wanted to send a powerful message amid her legal battle. “She’s happy and in a great place and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message. This was her decision." According to the insider, the break comes "in light of the successful path that she’s been on and continues to be on [following] the news of [her engagement]."

Fans were skeptical about the move, most notably, because Spears allegedly made a decision to check into a mental health facility shortly after canceling her "Domination" Las Vegas residency in early 2019 or so we were led to believe. Spears later revealed in court that she was forced into checking into the facility against her wishes. However, Spears’ new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, offered comfort, confirming separately to the celebrity gossip outlet that it was his client’s choice to step back from social media.
